How to connect Wix

The setup guide, in full

Word for word what the connect form asks, in the order it asks. Nothing here wants your Wix password — the credentials below are ones you create and can revoke.

   Which Wix site?

   Paste its dashboard address. We take the ID out of it.

   1. 1Open your Wix sites ↗ and click this site.
   2. 2Copy the whole address from the browser bar and paste it below.

   Create an API key

   Keys belong to your Wix account, not to one site.

   1. 1Open Wix API keys ↗ and click Generate API Key.
   2. 2Name it SearchBlueprint.
   3. 3Tick Wix Blog, Wix Contacts & Members and Manage Site Media.
   4. 4Click Generate Key.

   Without Manage Site Media, articles publish without their pictures.

   Confirm and copy the key

   Wix shows the key once.

   1. 1Click Send Code. Wix emails you a 6-digit code.
   2. 2Enter the code and click Verify & Generate Key.
   3. 3Click Copy Token & Close and paste it below.

If it doesn’t connect

The checklist the connect form shows when a test fails. Check each one in order.

• The Site ID was copied from the dashboard URL of THIS site.
• The API key has Wix Blog, Wix Contacts & Members AND Manage Site Media permissions.
• Without Manage Site Media your articles publish with their pictures missing.
• If you limited the key to some sites, this site is one of them.
• Your site has the Wix Blog app added.
