Every step, in writing
The setup guide, in full
Word for word what the connect form asks, in the order it asks. Nothing here wants your Wix password — the credentials below are ones you create and can revoke.
- 1
What's your Site ID?
Found in your Wix dashboard URL.
- Open your Wix sites and click this site.
- Copy the whole address from the browser bar. Paste it here. We take the ID out of it.
- The ID is also the part between /dashboard/ and the next slash.

Paste your API key
An account-level key with Blog, Members and Media permissions.
- Open Wix API keys. Click Generate API Key.
- Give it Wix Blog, Wix Contacts & Members, and Manage Site Media permissions.
- Wix emails you a 6-digit code to confirm; the key is shown once, so copy it now.
- Paste it here.
If it doesn’t connect
The checklist the connect form shows when a test fails. Check each one in order.
- The Site ID was copied from the dashboard URL of THIS site.
- The API key has Wix Blog, Contacts & Members AND Manage Site Media permissions.
- Without Manage Site Media your articles publish with their pictures missing.
- Your site has the Wix Blog app added.
Ready to do it for real?
Open your website in SearchBlueprint, go to Publishing, and pick the Wix tile. The form walks these same steps, and tests the credentials against Wix before it stores anything.
