SEO for Wix
Wix stores posts in Ricos, its own structured editor format, rather than HTML. So each article is converted, headings, lists, links and images, into that format before publishing, and posts open cleanly in the Wix editor as if written there.
How publishing works on Wix
The connection publishes into the site's blog with an account API key plus the site ID that scopes it to one site. Content is converted into Wix's own editor format on the way in, posts arrive as drafts by default, and once a post is live the verifier checks the public URL like any other platform. While a post is still a draft there is no public URL to check, so verification runs only after it goes live.

Wix's editor does not store HTML, so the connection converts each article into the structured format Wix's blog actually uses before publishing. Structure is preserved through the conversion, and the post opens in the editor as if written there.

Wix sites are common among small local businesses, which makes this the connection that pairs most often with the Local SEO tab.
Published means the public URL answered
After every publish we fetch the public URL and record what came back. Published shows only when the page was found, a fresh 404 waits out a grace window, and a server error never concludes the page is missing.
Articles come off a planned calendar
Plan items on the content calendar and write them two ways: click Write on a card, or let Auto-write pick each one up at midnight on its calendar date. Both run the same researched pipeline, which drafts the article and then revises it against the content score across sweeps.
The connection is probed daily
A daily authentication probe runs against every connection. A failure marks it unhealthy with the cause named, authentication, permissions, or unreachable target, so you find out before the next article tries to publish into a dead connection.
What this connection will not do
Stated up front, because finding out after the first publish costs more. Each line is a fact about what we send Wix, not a guess about the platform.
The connection cannot carry JSON-LD: the structured format Wix stores posts in has no place for a script tag. Add structured data in Wix's own SEO panel.
We do not set the post's cover image: Wix addresses a picture by Media Manager ID rather than URL. Set it on the post in Wix, where the images we uploaded are already waiting in the Media Manager.

Connect it in three steps

Create an API key
In the Wix dashboard, go to Account Settings, then API keys, and create one with blog permissions. Do it from an admin account, since access is granted at the account level.
Copy your site ID
It is visible in the dashboard URL for the site, or in the site's settings. On a multi-site account the site ID is what scopes the connection to one site, so double-check it.
Connect and test
In the project's Publishing tab, choose Wix, paste the API key and site ID, and send a test publish. Open the post in Wix's blog manager to confirm the formatting arrived intact.

- Why does publishing fail with a permissions error?
- Blog scopes are missing from the key, or the account role that created it cannot manage that site. Recreate it with blog permissions from an admin account.
- Why does my draft never show as Published?
- Because a Wix draft has no public URL. Verification only fetches live posts, so the state settles once someone presses publish in Wix or the connection is switched to publish live.
- The site has no blog section. Can I still connect?
- No. Wix must have the blog app added to the site first, otherwise there is nowhere to receive posts.

WordPress.com
Sites hosted on wordpress.com cannot use the self-hosted WordPress connectors: /wp-json/ is not reachable there, and plans below Business cannot install plugins. This connection exists for exactly those sites, and you connect it with your WordPress.com account rather than a pasted credential.
Snapps
Articles land in the Snapps blog with their structure and images mapped to Snapps' blog fields, as drafts by default until you switch the connection to publish live.
Duda
Articles arrive in your Duda site's blog through the Duda Partner API, with body, description and hero image, as drafts you can open in Duda's blog editor. Duda's own import rule helps here: an imported post always lands unpublished, and going live is a separate call we make only when the connection says so.
