Local search
See your rank street by street
A geo grid checks your map-pack rank across the service area, a generator writes the location pages, and the academy teaches the rest. For businesses customers find on a map.
Local rank is positional.
The same plumber sits 2nd from one neighbourhood and 15th from another, and one check from your own desk hides that. Every area you serve also needs a page that reads local without reading as spam.

The grid checks the whole service area
The local ranking grid checks your map-pack position from multiple points across the service area and paints the result: green where you rank nearby, red where you disappear.
Help centre: Local toolsThe colour pattern names the fix
Strong at your address and dead two suburbs over is the radius problem: service-area pages, reviews naming those areas, local links. Weak even at your own location points at profile basics: categories, NAP consistency, reviews.
One run writes a whole location page
The location page generator writes a full local landing page for one service in one city: the copy, the neighbourhood detail, and the meta title and description. The page comes back ready to take.
The paid version runs every city
The paid version runs every service in every city and files each page into your deliverables. The free cap of one page per run is a product boundary, not a trial timer.
How it works
The sequence, start to finish. Read it in order: each step assumes the one above it has already run.
Run the grid
Enter the business, the keyword a stranger would type, and the area, and the grid finds your profile by name and paints the map.
Read the pattern
A radius problem gets service-area pages and reviews, a weak home cell gets profile work, and the Local SEO Academy track walks each fix.
Build the pages
Generate the location page for each service and city that earns one, publish, and run the grid again to watch the map change colour.
The other ways people do this
What each approach does, and what happens here instead. Mechanism only, never an outcome claim.
| Approach | How it works | Here |
|---|---|---|
| Searching from your own desk | How it worksOne query from one point, with your account's history behind it. It answers for the pavement you are standing on and hides every other part of the service area. | HereNine points across the area are queried in one run, and the colours show where the ranking holds and where it stops. |
| A rank tracker on the keyword | How it worksStores one position per city or postcode. Map-pack rank moves street by street, so a single number per city averages away the thing you needed to see. | HereEvery grid point keeps its own rank, and a point whose query failed reads as unknown rather than as absent from the map pack. |
| A citations or listings service | How it worksPushes your name, address and phone number into directories. It works on the profile side of local search and says nothing about which areas you rank in. | HereThe grid measures the areas first, and the colour pattern says whether the next hour goes to profile basics or to service-area pages. |
| Location pages from a template | How it worksSwaps the city name into one page and multiplies it. Every page is identical apart from a token, which is the thin-pages problem stated plainly. | HereOne run writes one service in one city with the neighbourhood detail, and an academy lesson draws the line the generator is written to stay behind. |

Questions people ask
The ones that decide whether this fits, answered with the verdict first.
- What does a grid run cost?
- Nothing, and no account. Both tools are free. Each cell is a live localised query, so the rate bucket is small and the keyword is worth choosing deliberately.
- Does this change my Google Business Profile?
- No. Nothing here signs into your profile, posts to it or replies to reviews. The grid reads public results, and the generator hands you a page to publish yourself.
- Why does my rank change across town?
- Proximity is a dominant local factor. Google weighs the searcher's location, so the same keyword returns a different map pack from every point in your service area.
- Why do I rank first everywhere when I test it?
- You searched a branded term. Everyone ranks first for their own name, so use the term a stranger would type and the grid shows the market you compete in.
- Do generated location pages read as spam?
- Not when the page carries real local substance. The generator writes one service in one city with the neighbourhood detail, and an academy lesson draws the line against thin pages.
- Do I need a developer?
- No. The grid runs in the browser, and the location page comes back as copy with its meta title and description, ready to paste into whatever the site is built on.
- How many pages can I generate free?
- One per run: one service in one city. The paid product runs the whole matrix, every service in every city, and files each page into your deliverables.
- Is there a local dashboard inside the product?
- Not today. The in-project Local tab is parked while it is reworked, so local work runs on these tools, the location pages and the academy track. The help centre says the same.

Technical SEO audit
One crawl grades your site A+ to F across eight categories and turns every failure into a fix with its URLs attached.
Rank tracking
Positions refresh weekly, per domain and market. Each keyword builds a series from its first check, so you read drift rather than one reading.
Generative engine optimization
Audits probe Google's AI Overview and AI Mode for your top keywords and record the cited URLs. The tracker keeps that as history.
