Korean limits come in two forms: 공백 포함 counts spaces and 공백 제외 leaves them out. Type or paste your text above. Characters with spaces is your 공백 포함 number, and characters without spaces is your 공백 제외 number. Words and lines update as you type too. Nothing leaves your browser.
Which count to read
- If the limit says 공백 포함, read characters with spaces.
- If it says 공백 제외, read characters without spaces.
- If it says 바이트 (bytes), this counter won't give you the answer. It counts characters, not bytes, and a Hangul character takes more than one byte.
- Paste the finished text in one go before you submit. A form may count line breaks differently, so leave a little room under the limit.
Korean on X and in search results
X counts each Korean character as 2, so a post written only in Korean fits 140 characters, not 280. The X post row uses the same weighting, so it runs out faster than the plain count for Korean text.
The title tag (60) and meta description (160) rows show how much room is left before Google is likely to cut the text short. X's numbers come from X's counting characters documentation, read in October 2026.
