To check a keyword rank in India, enter your domain and the keyword above and pick India as the market. The checker runs a live Google search in India and returns your domain's best organic position in the top 100, plus the page that holds that spot. It's free and needs no signup.
How to check a ranking in India
- Type your domain, such as example.in or example.com.
- Type the keyword the way your customers search for it.
- Pick India from the list of 94 markets and run the check.
- You get your best spot in the top 100 and the page Google ranks there.
Each check covers one keyword. If you track ten keywords, run ten checks. The tool looks at the top 100 results only, so a domain that sits below 100 won't show a position.
Check which page comes back. If Google ranks your home page for a keyword that a service or product page should answer, that page needs work before the ranking will move much.
Why your own Google shows a different rank
Google can use places you've searched for in the past to estimate a location for your search. So the rank you see on your phone in Pune may not match what someone in Chennai or Delhi sees.
This checker runs the search for India as a whole. It doesn't pick a city, so a local business that ranks well in its own city can show a lower position here.

If you rank in another country but not India
Run the same keyword with India and then with the country you rank in. A big gap often means Google reads your site as aimed at that other country. Google says a country-code domain such as .in is a strong signal that a site is meant for one country. Local addresses and phone numbers on the pages, and local language and currency, are signals too. Google ignores geo meta tags, so adding one won't help.
