Describe your Shopify product, collection or page above, add the keyword and your store name, and the generator writes three meta descriptions and five page titles. Each title stays within 60 characters and each description within 155, with the count shown beside it. Paste the one you pick into Shopify admin. It writes for one page at a time and doesn't connect to your store.
Where to paste it in Shopify
- In your Shopify admin, open Products and click the name of the product you want to edit.
- In the Search engine listing section, click the pencil icon.
- Paste a title into the Page title field and a description into the Meta description field, then save the product.
Shopify also lets you set a meta description on collection pages, webpages and blog posts. The generator works the same way for those. Describe the page and give it the keyword.
Shopify's limits and the tool's
Shopify's Page title field takes up to 70 characters, and Shopify suggests keeping titles to 60 so search results don't shorten them. For descriptions it recommends 160 characters, and text past 320 might get cut off. The generator keeps titles to 60 and descriptions to 155, so every option fits.
Google can still rewrite a title or description based on what's on the page, so search results may not show exactly what you saved. Shopify's own assistant, Sidekick, can also write a title and description for a product inside the admin. These limits come from Shopify's Help Center, read in October 2026.
