This meta tag generator writes the HTML tags that go in a page's head: the title, the meta description, the canonical link, the Open Graph tags that shape how the link looks when shared, and the Twitter card tags. Fill in five fields, watch the character counts for the title and description, and copy the finished block into your page. It builds the tags in your browser as you type and needs no signup.
How to use the meta tag generator
- 1Replace the sample text in Page title. The counter beside it shows how close you are to 60 characters.
- 2Write the Description. Its counter shows your length against 160 characters.
- 3Add the Canonical URL (the page's own address), the OG image URL and your Site name. Leave any of these three empty to drop its tags.
- 4Read Generated tags on the right. They update on every keystroke.
- 5Press Copy and paste the block into the head of your page, or into the custom code box your CMS offers.

Thirteen tags from five fields. The & in the title became &, which is how HTML has to write it, and browsers show it as a plain &. The Open Graph and Twitter tags reuse the same title and description, so everything says the same thing wherever the link lands. Both counters are under their limits.
