Facebook builds the preview of a shared link from the Open Graph tags in the page's head. Fill in the five fields above, watch the character counts for the title and description, and copy the block into your page. It also holds the title, meta description, canonical link and Twitter card tags.
What Facebook reads from each tag
- og:title: the title of the page without branding such as your site name.
- og:description: a brief summary, usually 2 to 4 sentences.
- og:url: the canonical URL for the page.
- og:image: the URL of the image that appears in the share. Use one at least 1080 pixels wide so it looks sharp on high resolution screens.
- og:type: the type of content. It affects how the post shows up in Feed.
