Choose Product above, type in your product's details, and the JSON-LD for your page builds as you type. You get a note for any required field still empty and any URL, date or price in the wrong format. For Google's product snippets, the product's name is required.
What Google needs in product markup
- name: the name of the product. It's required.
- Prices use a decimal point for fractions of a currency unit, so $1.23 is written 1.23.
- If priceValidUntil is a date in the past, Google may not show the product snippet.

Product snippet or merchant listing
Google splits product markup in two. Product snippets are for pages where people can't buy the product directly, such as an editorial review. That markup has more room for review details, like pros and cons.
Merchant listings are for pages where customers can buy from you. Google's merchant listing documentation lists the properties that markup takes.
After you paste the code
The generator checks the format of what you type. It doesn't fetch your page or test it against Google. Once the JSON-LD is live, run the page through Google's Rich Results Test and fix any critical errors it reports.
It runs in your browser and sends nothing to us. The same form also writes FAQ, Organization, Local business, Article, Breadcrumbs and How-to markup, so it covers seven types in all.
