To check keyword volume for India, paste up to 100 keywords above, one per line, and pick India as your market. The Volume column shows how many people search each keyword a month. KD, CPC and Competition sit next to it. Search volume changes from country to country, so a keyword's number in India can look nothing like its number in the US. Set the market before you read the table.
How to check volume for India
- Paste your keywords into the box, one per line. You can check up to 100 at once.
- Pick India from the market list. There are 94 markets, and the numbers only apply to the one you pick.
- Run the check. Every keyword gets its own row with Volume, KD, CPC and Competition.
The checker works on the keywords you give it. It doesn't suggest new ones, and it doesn't split India into states or cities. Every number is for the whole country.
What the numbers mean
Volume is how many people search for the keyword in a month. KD is keyword difficulty on a scale of 0 to 100, so the higher it is, the harder it is to rank for. CPC is what advertisers pay per click. Competition shows how many advertisers bid on the keyword.
Treat volume as an estimate, wherever it comes from. Google's own Keyword Planner averages searches over 12 months by default, and its competition data is tied to the location you select. So a keyword with a seasonal peak, like a festival or exam search, will look smaller than it gets in its busy month.
