You don't need a Mac app to find broken links on a page. This checker runs in Safari or any other browser on your Mac. Enter a page URL and it tests up to 100 links on that page for 404s, dead domains and redirects. Broken links come first, then links to check by hand, then redirects, then the ones that work.
Check a page from Safari
- 1Open the page you want to check in Safari.
- 2Click the Smart Search field at the top of the window, select the address and press Command-C to copy it.
- 3Click the box above, press Command-V to paste the address and run the check.
- 4Read the broken rows first. Each row shows the status code, the anchor text and whether the link is internal or external.

What it won't do on a Mac
It checks one page per run, up to 100 links. It doesn't crawl a whole site, so run each page you care about on its own.
The page has to be live on the web. The checker can't open an HTML file saved on your Mac.
Some links need a check by hand. Open each one in Safari and see what loads.
This broken link checker is free with no signup. SearchBlueprint, who make it, sell SEO planning for websites: which searches each page should answer.
