SEO for hair and scalp clinics

A scalp clinic ran through our August 2026 benchmark, and its SERPs mixed local rivals with global brands. The plan has to tell them apart.

The intent ladder, applied to hair loss

Someone searching a treatment name, a cause, or a clinic near them are three different buyers. Every keyword is sorted by intent and difficulty from live search data, so the plan spends pages on searches that book consultations rather than on curiosity terms the brands own.

Help centre: Intent and difficulty
  • Long-form treatment content with a score

Skyscraper mode researches what ranks for the keyword, drafts longer and more specific, then scores its own draft and revises until it clears the bar. Claims it could not verify are flagged for your review rather than asserted.

  • A competitor list with the brands struck out

Discovery returns who ranks for your terms, and in this niche the raw list includes overseas brands no local clinic competes with for bookings. The competitors tab lets you keep the clinics and drop the brands, and tracking follows your corrected list.

  • On-page fixes as text to paste

Titles, descriptions and headings rewritten per page beside the current value, so the treatment pages you already have start matching the searches they should answer. Nothing is written to your site; you paste what you approve.

Questions people in this niche ask

The ones that decide whether this fits, answered with the verdict first.

The big hair loss brands are everywhere in our SERPs. Do we stand a chance?
Against them, no; beside them, yes. The brands sell products, you sell consultations in one city, and near-me and clinic-comparison searches are yours to win. The intent data separates those searches from the ones the brands own.
Can this write about treatment outcomes?
It will not invent them. Drafts flag outcome claims they cannot verify, and your own results stay yours to publish with whatever substantiation your regulator expects. The writer's job is structure and coverage, not promises.
What did the benchmark measure for a clinic like ours?
One scalp clinic through the full pipeline in our August 2026 benchmark: a B-grade audit over 100 pages, 19 recommended keywords, and an article covering 33 of 35 shared SERP terms. It measured output quality, not patient outcomes.
We already have treatment pages. Rewrite or add?
Usually both, in that order. The on-page pass upgrades what exists first because it is the cheapest win, then the keyword map names the pages still missing.

What we will not do

We will not make treatment-outcome claims for you, and we will not spend your plan chasing global brands out of SERPs they will keep.
