What it does
Every website can produce a public, read-only share link. Whoever has the link sees the latest report for that site: grade, categories, recommendations. They cannot sign in, cannot change anything, and cannot see any of your other clients.
This is the fastest way to get a report in front of someone. No seat, no invitation, no account.
When to use it
| You want | Use |
|---|---|
| A client to read the report | A share link |
| A client to log in and work in their own view | A client invite |
| A colleague to work across all your sites | A workspace seat |
Share links are for reading. If someone needs to comment, tick off tasks, or see history, invite them instead.
How to run it
- Open the website and find Share.
- Create the link and copy it.
- Send it. It opens for anyone, on any device, with no login.
To turn it off, regenerate the link (which kills the old one immediately) or revoke it entirely. You can also set it to expire.
Reading the results
The client sees a clean report page with no application navigation, no other projects, and nothing about your account. It renders the latest saved report for that site, so re-running an audit updates what they see at the same URL.
Limits and cost
- Sharing is off by default. A site with no link created is not reachable.
- The link is the credential. Anyone who has it can read the report, so treat it like a password: do not post it publicly, and revoke it when an engagement ends.
- Links can be given an expiry.
- Creating, rotating and revoking are free.
When it goes wrong
The link says the report is not available. It was revoked, rotated, or has expired. Create a new one.
The client sees an old report. They see the latest saved report. If a re-audit failed, the previous one is still the latest. Check the site's audit history.
You rotated by accident. The old link is dead and cannot be restored. Send the new one.
